Janet Barwick, Secretary: has served as a research associate for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) for the past nine years, working on grizzly education and outreach and various film projects related to grizzlies and whitebark pine. Janet is a fourth generation Montanan who was raised in the shadow of the Berkeley Pit mine in Butte, Montana where her father worked for 25 years. This early exposure to the harmful and destructive environmental effects of mining were the building blocks for her strong conservation ethic. Janet lives in Livingston, Montana with her 3 year-old German Shorthair Pointer Jessie
Jenny Harbine, Vice -President: Jenny is a Montana native and lives with her husband and young son in Livingston. Jenny works as a lawyer for the northern Rockies office of Earthjustice, a non-profit law firm that helps ensure that laws and policies protecting environmental health and natural resources are upheld and strengthened.
Nelson King, Nelson King has been a writer and journalist for over twenty-five years, most of that time following the ups and down of science and technology in columns, blogs, articles and books. Meanwhile he developed software for state environmental laboratories. Prior to that, twenty years were enjoyed in professional theater.
Jesse A. Logan: After retiring from the Forest Service as a research scientist in June, 2006, Jesse and his wife Catherine moved to Emigrant, Montana. When not fly-fishing the Yellowstone or skiing the backcountry of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, he continues to conduct research and participate in advocacy for high-elevation, Rocky Mountain ecosystems.
Tom Murphy: Tom has lived in Park County for over 32 years because of his passion for photographing Yellowstone’s wild places. Tom established Wilderness Photography Expeditions in 1986 in part to give something back to wildlife and wildlands and to aid in their preservation. He donates the use of his photography to environmental groups to support their efforts.
Sarah Orms: President: Sarah and her family have lived in Livingston since 2006. Sarah has led PCEC’s outreach initiatives since 2007, which focused on discovering commonly held values and developing community-led strategies to protect these values.
Severn Thomas: Severn is a Financial Services Representative with State Farm Insurance. He was previously a Grant Writer for the Quivira Coalition and Development Director of the Southwest Environmental Center, both in New Mexico. He lives in Livingston with his wife and three stepchildren, and is an enthusiastic soccer player and coach, mountain bike racer, food writer, and photographer.
