Land Use Regulation

Land Use Regulation has long been considered one of the keystone issues for PCEC. It’s the formal, legal aspect of dealing with environmental problems ranging from pollution, to invasive species and unwanted commercial development. Without some kind of land use regulation, citizens and property owners have little or no recourse for destructive environmental practices - which is one reason why more than 95% of all counties in the U.S. have some form of regulation. At the moment, Park County does not, and PCEC places high priority on working with the county and on our own to promote and help formulate land use regulation.
