Our goal is to preserve open space by promoting wildlands, wildlife habitat, and working farms and ranches. Park County is distinguished by its abundance of both wilderness and working ranches. We benefit from public lands and wilderness right in our backyard, and can see to the horizon thanks to the ranching legacy in our county. We share our wild backyard with the elk, bison, deer, moose, bear, cougar, wolverines, wolves, martens and trout. Maintaining and improving that wild abundance is one of the most challenging and important roles for PCEC.
