I would like to take a moment to thank all the loyal Park County Environmental Council (PCEC) supporters that showed up on Saturday for our annual Rendezvous/Fundraiser. PCEC relies on our community support to continue and help our citizens with issues like: tire pits, invasive species, the Fleshman Creek Restoration/ Flood Mitigation project, water monitoring in the Shields area before and if the natural gas industry comes to our area, increased coal train traffic and how it might affect tax payers & our lifestyle, the BNSF Superfund Cleanup, and the many more unforeseen issues that can and will come to our community down the road. While we did not raise as much money as we had hoped to on Saturday, PCEC will continue to protect Park County’s natural resources and help enrich the quality of life in Park County for all of the people here, just as we have for the past 22 years.
